The above video shows a carbon fibre fishing rod being tested to destruction using a sophisticated tset facility called the Hardy Test Rig (HTR). The HTR not only has the ability to push a rod to its limits but it is able to capture the curvature of the rod at all times throughout the test as well as the forces being applied to it.
